These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the MyCareerMatch platform, operated by MYPROFILE PTY LTD (ACN 097 530 428) (“Myprofile”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, please refrain from using the platform.

1. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, systems and software on the MyCareerMatch websites are the property of Myprofile Pty Ltd or its licensors, and are protected under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and international copyright laws. Unless otherwise permitted by law or with written consent, no content may be reproduced, modified, stored, or transmitted in any form, except for use in educational settings in accordance with the statutory licences provided under Australian copyright law.

2. Use of AI Technologies

MyCareerMatch incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist in generating personalised career reports based on students’ personality traits. We ensure our use of AI complies with:
• The Australian Framework for Generative AI in Schools
• Current ethical AI principles
• Relevant privacy and education standards
All AI-generated recommendations are provided with human oversight and are intended as guidance only. Users are encouraged to seek further careers advice when making significant decisions.

3. Use by Students Under 18

3.1 Supervised Educational Use
MyCareerMatch is designed to support the career education of students, including those under 18, within a school-supervised environment. When students access the service under the direction of a teacher, careers adviser, or school representative:
• It is assumed that appropriate consent has been obtained by the school, as per their duty of care and privacy obligations.
• Access is for educational use only and must be conducted as part of a structured career education program.
• Students complete the assessment to discover their personality traits and explore matched career options.

3.2 Purpose
The use of MyCareerMatch in schools aims to:
• Encourage early career awareness based on personality strengths
• Support decisions regarding subject selection, further education, and vocational training
• Provide teachers and careers advisers with tools to support student development

4. Collection and Use of Student Data

4.1 Information Collected
To deliver personalised reports, we may collect the following data from students:
• First name (and optionally surname)
• School email address
• Personality profile type
• School name
• School code or access key
• Usage data (device/browser) for service improvement This data is used only to generate career profiles and improve service quality.

4.2 SMS Report Delivery Students may opt to send their report via SMS to a parent, guardian, or careers adviser. In such cases:
• The mobile number entered is used once only to deliver a link to the report.
• It is not stored, retained, or used for any future communication.
• The SMS is sent securely through SMS Broadcast, an Australian SMS gateway provider that complies with Australian privacy legislation.

5. Data Retention and Deletion Requests

5.1 Standard Retention Period
Unless otherwise agreed, MyCareerMatch retains student data for 21 days from the time of assessment to allow schools and students sufficient access. After this period:
• All personally identifiable data is automatically deleted
• De-identified data may be retained for performance analysis and research purposes

5.2 School and Client Preferences
Educational institutions can request alternative retention periods, including:
• Immediate data deletion after session completion
• Shortened or extended data retention to suit internal policies Our platform is capable of automatic configuration to comply with client data preferences.

5.3 User-Initiated Deletion Requests Students, parents, or school representatives may request data deletion at any time by emailing support@mycareermatch.com.au. Upon verification:
• We will delete the data from our systems within 5 business days
• A confirmation will be provided
There is no charge for this service. We fully support data subject rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

6. Data Protection and Privacy

MyCareerMatch is committed to the principles of the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We:
• Only collect data essential for service delivery
• Do not sell or share data with third parties (except where legally required)
• Store all personal data securely on servers located in Australia
• Maintain strict access controls and use encrypted transmission protocols

7. Educational Use

MyCareerMatch may be used for classroom and institutional education purposes. This includes:
• Reproducing content for teaching under statutory licences
• Distributing career reports to students
• Integrating platform use into structured careers education programs
Proper attribution must be maintained for any distributed material.

8. User Responsibilities

Users agree:
• To use the platform only for its intended educational or career exploration purposes
• Not to misuse, interfere with, or attempt to access data without authorisation
• To keep login credentials secure and notify us of any suspected misuse

9. Limitation of Liability

While we take all reasonable measures to ensure the accuracy of our content and services, we do not guarantee:
• That the outcomes of the assessment will be suitable for every user
• That career recommendations are definitive or exhaustive
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our services.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in law, technology, or service improvements. Updates will be posted on our website and communicated where required. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms
